Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of full-time paid experience as a tree trimmer for a line clearance company trimming trees around high voltage distribution lines required.
• Must have documented line clearance training per OSHA and ANSI.
• Valid Ohio Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License required; Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, trims, cuts, and clears trees and underbrush from electrical transmission and distribution lines.
• Performs temporary repairs to service wires.
• Locates flares, cones, danger flags, and other warning equipment as required for compliance with state, local, and CPP rules and regulations.
• Directs and trains employees, as assigned.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
