Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a 2-5 person crew servicing the Greater Akron, Ohio region. The role requires CDL holder and/or climbing experience where preferred, with responsibilities including pruning, removal, and safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in line clearance or related tree work.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• CDL-A or CDL-B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain.
• ISA Certified Arborist® / Tree Worker® or TCIA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person crew performing tree pruning and removal for utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs.
• Inspect sites and plan tasks for safe execution.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Train and mentor new employees.
