Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Kittanning, PA is seeking an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a crew for utility line clearance. CDL preferred, with safety training and focus on reducing outages and hazards.

The role involves commanding a 2-5 person tree crew, pruning, removal, and site inspections on electric utility projects, while mentoring new employees and maintaining equipment and safety standards in field operations.

Qualifications

• Must have line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew performing pruning and removal for electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs from lines, roofs, and structures.
• Inspect sites with proper planning and task execution.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, CDL preferred, joining a team working in/around Kittanning, PA.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
