Job summary

Wright Tree Service in Michigan is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees near power lines. You will use climbing gear and ground tools to perform vegetation management, while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The role requires knowledge of ANSI Z133.1 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269, the ability to read circuit maps, and the capacity to work long hours, including emergencies. A CDL and CPR/First-Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in tree trimming or clearing crews.
• Valid CPR/First-Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• CDL and/or DOT medical card preferred depending on division.
• Ability to read and interpret circuit maps and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and equipment with branches and logs for removal.
• Trim, remove or fell trees using climbing gear and ground tools.
• Work aloft to cut branches and control lowering with lines.
• Operate tools safely near energized conductors under supervision.
• Maintain safety records and follow OSHA requirements.
