Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Line Clearance Arborist to oversee and coordinate contracted line clearance activities for the organization’s transmission and distribution systems in the Central Service Area. The role emphasizes daily planning, contractor management, and ensuring safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead crews, evaluate work orders, monitor costs, and stay current with NERC, FPSC, and related standards while supporting community relations and project

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor of Science in Forestry, Horticulture or related field preferred.
• ISA Arborist or Utility Specialist certification required or must be obtained within 1 year of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily planning and monitoring of line clearance and vegetation management activities.
• Review work orders, develop specs, select contractors, coordinate with engineering and environmental teams.
• Monitor labor, hours, costs, and approve contractor invoices weekly.
