Position Details: Full Time Position (30 hours/week), varying shifts, rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional dining experiences for internal and external customers.
- Perform culinary tasks including food preparation, baking, broiling, sautéing, braising, roasting, poaching, steaming, and frying hot and cold food items.
- Adhere to established food safety requirements and guidelines.
- Review menus, follow recipes, test products for taste and temperature, control portions, and ensure plate appeal.
- Properly receive, store, and document departmental supplies and food safety logs.
- Complete production logs, prep, and pull logs, along with daily and weekly Mise-en-place.
- Comply with departmental policies including HACCP, safety regulations, and other guidelines.
- Maintain a respectful and cooperative team environment.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
- Assist with resident and guest functions, activities, and promotions.
- Uphold Resident Rights and Independence.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of culinary experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, deal tactfully with residents, personnel, and visitors.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary.
