Position Overview

Position Details: Full Time Position (30 hours/week), varying shifts, rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional dining experiences for internal and external customers.
  • Perform culinary tasks including food preparation, baking, broiling, sautéing, braising, roasting, poaching, steaming, and frying hot and cold food items.
  • Adhere to established food safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Review menus, follow recipes, test products for taste and temperature, control portions, and ensure plate appeal.
  • Properly receive, store, and document departmental supplies and food safety logs.
  • Complete production logs, prep, and pull logs, along with daily and weekly Mise-en-place.
  • Comply with departmental policies including HACCP, safety regulations, and other guidelines.
  • Maintain a respectful and cooperative team environment.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
  • Assist with resident and guest functions, activities, and promotions.
  • Uphold Resident Rights and Independence.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 2 years of culinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, deal tactfully with residents, personnel, and visitors.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary.
