Job summary

HOLT CAT seeks a Shop Welder Tech 3 (Line Bore) to perform advanced welding repairs, fabrication, and line boring on heavy equipment in our shop in Texas. You will work with Holt, Caterpillar, and AWS procedures, interpreting blueprints and completing components removal/installations with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of welding experience, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to mentor newer welders while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding tech training preferred.
• Three years of welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• SMAW/FCAW/3G/4G welding knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work in a shop environment and comply with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy equipment welding, fabrication, and line boring in a shop.
• Order parts and maintain tools and equipment using company systems.
• Read blueprints and technical specs to guide repairs.
• Mentor less experienced welders and collaborate with teams.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform duties as assigned.
