Job summary

Schwan's Company in Erie, PA is hiring for a 2nd shift production role. Starting pay is $16.75 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential. This full-time position is in a food manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement.

You will unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods, while upholding quality, safety, and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Able to work rotating shifts including weekends.
• Adhere to GMP and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Unpack materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet quality standards.
• Inspect products and record waste.
• Notify supervisor of quality or equipment issues.
• Follow USDA/OSHA/state/federal regulations and GMPs.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
