Job summary

Simmons Foods is hiring for an on-site, full-time hourly position at our Fort Smith to Van Buren area facility. The role involves rotating between packer, scaler, styler and grader, ensuring product quality and line speed.

Employees will handle packing and weighing, inspect for defects, and support team-driven improvements while following Simmons’ operating systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with others and leadership team.
• Must be able to make good decisions and communicate them clearly.
• Industry experience in poultry or food processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn, perform and rotate between packer, scaler, styler and grader roles to maintain line speeds.
• Pack and weigh products on a moving conveyor belt.
• Inspect and remove product not meeting standards; pull bones from product.
• Participate in team development, communicate programs and policies, and coordinate work for best practices.
• Familiarize with Simmons operating systems and maintain awareness of quality and LEAN principles.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support business objectives.
