Job summary

Dave Sinclair Lincoln St Peters is seeking a Service Technician with luxury vehicle experience to join our Ford dealership team in Saint Peters, MO. The right candidate will have ASE and Ford certifications and a strong background in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems.

Responsibilities include servicing repair orders, test-driving vehicles, using diagnostic tools, and communicating with the Service Advisor regarding estimates and additional work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• Ford Certification is required.
• Experience at a Ford dealership preferred.
• Experience with luxury vehicles preferred.
• B level qualifications including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor regarding additional services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

• Ford Certification

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred

• Previous experience working with luxury vehicles is preferred

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
