Job summary

University of California, Davis is seeking a LIMS System Manager to oversee electronic laboratory data exchange systems and lead a team of LIMS professionals. The role focuses on enhancing data quality, security, and interoperability across public health labs.

The position is full-time, on-site in Richmond or Sacramento as part of the CDPH-LDX initiative, reporting to CLS leadership and the CAL-LIMS project manager. Applicants should demonstrate strong SDLC knowledge and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science or Life Sciences with IT training.
• 3–5 years of data integration experience.
• 3–5 years of experience coordinating complex application development with diverse teams.
• 3–5 years of experience troubleshooting application performance for users.
• 3–5 years of experience in communication, marketing or public relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for LDx/LIMS systems and data exchange.
• Lead data quality assurance and maintenance of Laboratory Information System.
• Manage Cal-LIMS/E-LIMS and perform business analysis.
• Oversee help desk support.
• Develop and maintain training curricula and SOP documentation.
