Job summary

Bayer seeks a Laboratory Information Management System Specialist in Berkeley, CA to oversee data governance, integrity, and compliance. You will translate lab procedures into robust LabVantage LIMS master data and collaborate with QA, QC, and global teams to ensure regulatory alignment.

The role emphasizes implementing digital solutions, validating systems, and maintaining data quality under cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science, science, or related discipline.
• 6+ years industry experience with BS or 2+ years with MS or equivalent.
• Excellent LabVantage LIMS (v8+) and MODA master data knowledge.
• Software/LIMS validation experience.
• Experience in a cGMP and global regulatory environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test LabVantage LIMS and MODA master data.
• Support digital solutions in pharma labs, incl. ELN/SDMS integrations.
• Manage LIMS/MODA user accounts and conduct access reviews.
• Drive improvements to SOPs and assist CAPA as needed.
• Collaborate with QA, QC, Manufacturing and global teams.
• Ensure data integrity and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
