Job summary

The student will assist with airway clearance, patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, ECG), oxygen and humidity therapy, and CPR-related data collection and equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must hold an Ohio Limited Practice Permit.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program.

A Brief Overview

The Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.

• Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education

Work Experience
