Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio is seeking a Limited Permit Respiratory Student - PRN to assist in the respiratory care team. You will learn and apply hospital standards while performing basic respiratory care tasks, progressing to independent work after completing required education and competency verification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

A Brief Overview

The Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.

What You Will Do

• Airway clearance therapy
• Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG)
• Oxygen and humidity therapy
• Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)

• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
