Qualifications

• Underwrite LIHTC or complex multifamily transactions with increasing independence.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of affordable housing finance and LIHTC regulations.
• Develop and present underwriting memoranda and investment recommendations.
• Lead and mentor junior team members in underwriting best practices.
• Balance multiple transactions with deadlines and maintain accurate financial models.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting efforts for LIHTC investments from screening through closing and funding.
• Manage a portfolio of active transactions and ensure timely underwriting and funding.
• Evaluate financial models, budgets, operating pro formas, and market studies.
• Perform debt sizing, cash flow projections, sensitivity tests, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to execute transactions.
