Job summary

Affordable Equity Partners, Inc. seeks a Transactions Associate to support LIHTC fund and partnership closings. You will coordinate due diligence, liaise with clients and outside counsel, and oversee day-to-day workflows under directors’ guidance.

The ideal candidate is an experienced real estate paralegal with LIHTC exposure, capable of reading documents, spotting questions, and coordinating with developers, investors, and counsel to keep deals moving on schedule.

Qualifications

• LIHTC program basics and syndication structure knowledge.
• 3+ years as real estate paralegal or transactional support with due diligence.
• Experience supporting fund- and partnership- closings is a plus.
• Strong communication with developers, investors, and counsel.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and catalog due diligence for LIHTC fund closings.
• Maintain due diligence checklists and track open items.
• Review due diligence for completeness and escalate issues.
• Build and maintain transaction files and data rooms.
• Coordinate with counsel and third-party consultants to keep closings on schedule.
• Manage communications with all stakeholders and schedule status calls.
• Ensure document drafting, revisions, and signature collection stay on track.
