Job summary

Merchants Capital is seeking an Asset Manager, Equity to support their Asset Management team in Carmel, IN. The role emphasizes financial analysis, portfolio monitoring, and reporting to internal partners and investors.

The successful candidate will review property operations, prepare investor reports, and identify underperforming assets with workout strategies. Strong analytical and communication skills, plus 1–3 years of relevant experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills for reviewing financial statements and performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with colleagues and clients.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, asset management, or real estate.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assets, perform financial analysis, and prepare reports.
• Interact with general partners, lenders, and management to support decisions.
• Assess risk and ensure LIHTC program compliance where applicable.
• Maintain post‑closing financial models and tracking of asset performance.
• Oversee construction draws, rent rolls, and occupancy reporting.
• Support relationship management with sponsors, officials, and lenders.
