Job summary

Facility Solutions Group in California is seeking a Lighting Technician to install lighting products safely and neatly in client facilities. The role requires hands-on experience with lighting retrofit strategies and strong customer service.

You will install fixtures, lamps, ballasts, and controls, work from ladders or scaffolds, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and local regulations. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are expected. NRLT designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of lighting and electrical experience.
• NRLT designation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install lighting products safely and neatly in customer facilities.
• Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems.
• Work safely to avoid damaging or disturbing customer facilities.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures and use relevant tools.
• Comply with government/local regulations and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for installing lighting products safely and neatly in customer’s facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professional customer service and have a vast knowledge of lighting retrofit strategies. Additionally, there is a hiring bonus for bringing a complete crew.
• Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems.
• Work in a safe manner so as not to damage or disturb customer's facilities.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process.
• Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• At least 2-4 years of lighting and electrical experience.
• Preferably, candidates with an NRLT designation (Non-residential Lighting Technician)
• Lighting and retrofit experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travelMust be reliable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive customer service skills
