Job summary

Current Lighting seeks a Sustaining Engineer to support and improve the Litecontrol architectural linear lighting portfolio. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, Technical Support, Supply Chain, suppliers, and other engineering teams to resolve product and process issues, maintain documentation, and support customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 2–5 years' experience in product design or manufacturing support.
• Proficiency with 2D drawings and 3D CAD software.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; capable of prototyping and supporting product installations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• SAP ERP experience is desirable; SAP Variant Configurator is a plus.
• Knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Configurable product or engineered-to-order experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site engineering support for existing products with manufacturing personnel.
• Investigate failures, warranty claims, and returns; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage engineering changes, BOMs, drawings, specs, and related documentation.
• Serve as liaison for SAP VC, validating configuration behavior and reflecting designs.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and manufacturability initiatives while maintaining compliance.
• Build and evaluate prototypes and samples to support manufacturing and customers.
