Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Quotation Specialist to advance quotations operations. You will perform bid takeoffs and set competitive pricing, collaborating with engineers and customers to meet evolving needs.

You will develop quotations, request bids and bonds, and ensure responses are timely and accurate, supporting profitability and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Business or trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• Four years of prior customer service, quotation or sales experience with strong knowledge of lighting and electrical products and systems preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of product lines, substitutes, and supplier pricing policies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs takeoffs of bids and pricing functions for lighting and electrical products.
• Uses senior knowledge to determine product specifications, applications and pricing for projects.
• Proactively works with engineers and customers to meet changing business needs and resolve issues.
• Develops quotations and requests bids for customers within company profit objectives and guidelines.
• Provides timely follow-up on specialized or technical inquiries and requests.
• Maintains an active log of wins/losses for project bids and coordinates with staff to resolve issues.
