Job summary

QED, a Denver-based lighting distributor, seeks a Lighting Quotations Specialist to coordinate bidding and quoting for customer requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across regional projects. The role collaborates with sales, reviews plans, and develops complete distribution proposals.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of lighting equipment, the ability to read electrical plans and specs, and a background in contractor inside sales or lighting project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S. or equivalent) preferred.
• Expert knowledge of Lighting equipment and terminology.
• Experience reading electrical plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer and sales requests regarding lighting projects across a region.
• Assist planning and presenting training for customers and sales staff.
• Provide verbal/written quotations and terms for standard or non-standard merchandise.
• Coordinate with projects to resolve order problems and customer complaints promptly.
• Prepare correspondence and reports for business transactions.
• Review plans/specs for alternate solutions to suggest to customers.
• Source pricing from external vendors to build complete electrical distribution proposals.
