Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Lighting Sales Assistant to support bids, submittals, and order execution within the Lighting Department. You will coordinate with manufacturers, verify product details, and prepare complete submittal packages for sales orders.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years in the electrical field (lighting/wholesale a plus), and proficiency with MS Office; Eclipse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in the electrical industry preferred; lighting or wholesale distribution experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Eclipse or similar distribution software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quote & Bid Support: Receive and review quote requests with accuracy and urgency; coordinate with manufacturers for lead times and requirements.
• Submittals & Order Execution: Create formal submittal packages; ensure completeness and timely delivery to customers.
• Vendor & Customer Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing partners and customers; communicate order status clearly.
• Knowledge & Team Contribution: Participate in product training and share learnings with the team.
