Alameda Electrical Distributors, Inc. in Hayward, CA is seeking a Lighting Project Manager II to lead customer lighting projects from concept to completion, build strong relationships with clients and vendors, and deliver exceptional results in a fast-growing, independent distributor environment.

You’ll quote and plan projects, interpret fixture schedules and blueprints, partner with manufacturers and agencies, support contractors, manage inbound/outbound communications, and ensure accurate,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in lighting or distribution.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Eclipse and Job Management is preferred.
• Knowledge of lighting products and distribution is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication—in person, email, and phone.

Responsibilities

• Quote lighting projects accurately and on time
• Interpret fixture schedules and blueprints to understand project needs
• Collaborate with manufacturers, lighting agencies, and outside sales to manage project flow
• Provide product guidance and project support to contractors and customers
• Oversee inbound/outbound sales communications and maintain strong customer relationships
• Assist customers in selecting lighting products and applications
• Handle freight claims, track deliveries, and provide stock information
• Analyze transaction reports for internal systems
• Work with Outside Sales to keep accounts informed
• Oversee sales activities: purchasing, problem resolution, delivery follow-through

What You’ll Do

As aLighting Project Manager II, you’ll be the go‑to expert and critical connection point for our lighting customers. You’ll manage projects from concept to completion, solve problems, quote projects, and collaborate with customers, manufacturers, agencies, and our outside sales team to ensure we deliver exceptional value every time.

Key Responsibilities

• QuoteCommercial, Industrial, and Residentiallighting projects accurately and on time
• Interpretfixture schedules, blueprints, and one-linesto understand project needs
• Partner withmanufacturers and lighting agenciesto gather data and manage project flow
• Serve contractors and customers by providing product guidance and project support
• Manageinbound/outbound sales communicationand maintain strong customer relationships
• Assist customers in selecting the best lighting products and applications
• Handlefreight claims, track deliveries, and provide accurate stock info
• Analyze transaction reports and provide data for internal systems
• Work closely with Outside Sales to keep accounts supported and informed
• Oversee sales activities: purchasing, problem resolution, delivery follow-through & more
