Job summary

Turtle in New York is seeking a Lighting Project Manager to coordinate all aspects of lighting projects from entry to closeout. You will manage client expectations with support from the department, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.

The role requires significant lighting PM experience, proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, and the ability to coordinate suppliers, vendors and contractors on complex projects in Manhattan, NY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Significant Lighting Project Management experience required.
• Experience with MS Office and Outlook required.
• Technical expertise in lighting systems (LED, controls) and project management (scheduling, budgeting).
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the complete lifecycle of lighting projects—from mid to large-scale commercial retrofits.
• Serve as the central hub of communication between clients, vendors, and electrical contractors.
• Maintain schedules with weekly updates.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently.
• Create submittal packages for approval.
• Track shipments and schedule deliveries.
• Project billing and change orders management.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and margin.

About the Role

Turtle in New York is actively searching for a Lighting Project Manager to join our team in Manhattan, NY. The Lighting Project Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating all aspects of lighting projects from order entry to project closeout and managing customer expectations with the support of the department.

What You'll Do:

• Oversees the complete lifecycle of lighting projects - ranging from mid to large-scale commercial retrofits -ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
• Serve as the central hub of communication between clients, vendors, and electrical contractors, managing the technical details, procurement, and site logistics
• Maintain schedules with weekly updates
• Oversee multiple projects
• Create submittal packages for approval
• Track shipments
• Schedule deliveries
• Work in a team environment internally as well as with customers
• Project billing
• Generate and maintain change orders
• Seek opportunities to increase sales/margin
• Organize and manage documents
• Excel proficient

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Significant Lighting Project Management experience required
• Experience with MS Office and Outlook required
• A blend of technical expertise in lighting systems (LED, controls), project management proficiency (scheduling, budgeting)
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, etc.
