Job description

Location: Flexible - but must live close to a major airport due to travel

Travel: 90% travel, nationwide. Monday through Thursday on the road, with Fridays and weekends at home. Territories assigned based on residence.

The Lighting Project Auditor is responsible for examining and analyzing lighting and electrical surveys nationwide. This role involves 90% travel, conducting audits at various customer sites. The auditor documents existing conditions related to lighting, controls, and electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to schedules and budgets.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Collaborate with sales to define audit scope.
  2. Prepare detailed audit reports.
  3. Facilitate communication between customers, sales, and project management.
  4. Schedule and coordinate audit trips.
  5. Manage travel expenses.
  6. Attend required training programs.
  7. Assist in quotation, proposal, and bid preparation.
  8. Perform other assigned duties.

Education and Experience:

  1. High school degree required.
  2. 0-3 years of industry experience.
  3. Experience in communication with vendors and customers.
  4. Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  5. Knowledge of electrical products and lighting controls is a plus.

Physical Job Requirements:

  1. Manual labor, including carrying and climbing ladders.
  2. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  3. Regular bending, stooping, lifting, and twisting.
  4. Standing up to 12 hours per day.

Additional:

  1. 90% travel, typically flying out Monday morning and returning Friday afternoon.
  2. Autonomy in planning flights and accommodations.
