Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced Lighting Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in automotive exterior lighting systems, hardware development, and power electronics.

The role involves end-to-end hardware development for headlamps, signaling lamps, and rear lamps, shaping system-level power architectures and LED driver strategies, while navigating EMI, thermal, and cost constraints, and applying ASIL functional safety know-how to ensure robust, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• End-to-end hardware development for automotive exterior lighting systems (headlamps, signaling lamps, and rear lamps).
• System-level power architecture and LED driver strategies.
• Experience with EMI, thermal and cost constraints.
• Knowledge of ASIL QM/A/B functional safety.
• Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and component derating.
• Thermal and reliability analysis, including DFMEA and MTBF.
• Experience driving pre-compliance and compliance EMC testing.
• Troubleshooting conducted and radiated emissions through layout, filtering, and architectural changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware development for automotive exterior lighting systems.
• Define system-level power architecture and LED driver strategies.
• Address EMI, thermal, and cost constraints in designs.
• Apply ASIL functional safety knowledge in hardware development.
• Perform WCCA and component derating analyses.
• Conduct thermal and reliability analysis including DFMEA and MTBF.
• Drive pre-compliance and EMC testing programs.
• Troubleshoot emissions through layout, filtering, and architecture changes.
