Job summary

Schonbek, a premium lighting brand and a member of The WAC Group, is seeking a Packer on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday) in Town of Plattsburgh, NY. The role involves packing lighting fixtures by following established procedures to meet the production schedule in a team environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring a safe workspace, performing final quality inspections, reading blueprints, using packing materials and diagrams, and assisting with assembly when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency preferred.
• Prior Manufacturing Experience a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, and overtime as needed.
• Must have a reliable attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions for self and coworkers.
• Perform final inspection for quality finish and assembly per company guidelines and external agency requirements.
• Adjust frame components to meet quality guidelines.
• Use packing materials, blueprints and packing diagrams to package products and components for safe delivery.
• May assist with assembly in the work area when not packing.
• Refer to computer system to obtain daily work schedule.
