Job summary

The Lighting Specialist at New World Symphony oversees all institutional lighting operations for performances and events at the New World Center in Miami. You will manage design strategies, scheduling, and on-site execution in coordination with the Technical Director.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in show production (or related field) and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with advanced knowledge of GrandMA2/3, DMX, Vectorworks, and Lightwright.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in show production or related field; 3–5 years of relevant experience in event production, music school, orchestra, touring company, or similar organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lighting design and operations for institutional activities and events.
• Coordinate with rental clients and external parties on lighting-related activities.
• Assist in lighting hang, focus, programming, and operation calls; support on-site production.
