Job summary

Stantec is seeking a lighting design intern to join our Buildings team. You will work with experienced practitioners, producing lighting layouts in Revit and assisting with photometric calculations, energy code compliance, and report writing.

Develop presentations, renderings, and luminaire schedules while collaborating with the design team to explore design options. Ideal candidates are pursuing a 4-year design/engineering degree with a focus on lighting design, possess strong communication,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in design or engineering with a focus on lighting design.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply lighting design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with BIM tools and photometric calculations.
• Ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and present design options clearly.

Responsibilities

• Producing lighting layouts in Revit.
• Photometric calculations utilizing AGI32 or LightStanza software.
• Energy code compliance calculations.
• Report writing.
• Developing presentation materials, renderings and graphic packages.
• Developing luminaire schedules and pulling product specification sheets.
• Develop and review mock-ups.
• Collaboration with design team.
