Job summary

Altraize is seeking a CAD Drafter to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for light fixtures. You will work from input provided by CTO, engineering and design managers, ensuring drawings meet specs and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities include ensuring ease of fabrication, updating drawings with changes, assisting prototype work, and maintaining revision history for production teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Understanding of fabrication, machining and assembly processes.
• Ability to follow engineering instructions and modify designs accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for light fixtures based on inputs from the CTO, Engineering Managers, the Design Manager, the Product & Costing Manager or the production manager.
• Ensure all drawings meet design specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Check designs for ease of fabrication, assembly and cost‑effective production, and flag issues to the Engineering team.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, customer feedback and manufacturing requirements.
• Assist in prototype fabrication and testing.
• Maintain drawing records, technical specifications and revision history, so production always works from the latest version.
