Job summary

Alamo Group is seeking a CAD Designer to create technical drawings using CAD software and support engineering with drafting tasks. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires adherence to company drawing standards.

Responsibilities include generating drawings, performing revisions, and printing plots for production. Proficiency in Solid Edge 3D, ACAD 2D, and MS Office, plus basic math and print reading, are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical hardware drawings.
• GD&T is preferred.
• Understanding of basic math and print reading is required.
• Basic written, typing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic circuits a plus.
• Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.
• Effective planning and project management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies: communication, business acumen, and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Using CAD software, generate new drawings as assigned.
• Perform routine revisions as directed by department engineers.
• Plot/print drawings for production personnel or others as needed.
• Complete work in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.
• Understand and use all existing and future company drawing standards.
• Use Solid Edge 3D, ACAD 2D, Microsoft Office programs.
