Job summary

Clair Global is seeking a Lighting Programming and Commissioning Technician to oversee lighting project success, program control systems, and ensure safe, design-aligned operation onsite.

Candidates should have 3+ years in lighting programming or field installation, familiarity with ETC and Color Kinetic systems, and knowledge of DMX, sACN, ArtNet, and RDM protocols. Must be able to lift and work at heights as needed.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years field installation experience OR
• At least three (3) years lighting programming, configuration and commissioning experience
• Advanced knowledge of ETC, Color Kinetic control Systems
• Strong understanding of control protocols such as DMX, sACN, ArtNet, RDM
• Knowledge of electrical systems and safety
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Understand the overall expectations, timeline, and scope of work of lighting projects
• Read and interpret CSI and architectural and engineering drawings
• Learn and apply CSI lighting installation and technical standards
• Program lighting control systems, consoles, and devices to meet creative and technical specifications
• Configure and test lighting systems to ensure seamless operation and high-quality output
• Assist in lighting system design, including control layouts, patching, cue structures, and protocol planning
• Configure lighting IT networks when needed for installed lighting systems
• Submit required End of Day update reports to the appropriate management team
• Perform troubleshooting and service for installed lighting systems
• Train end users on installed lighting systems
• Provide customer service with end-users while on job sites and link them with CSI sales or engineering when necessary
• Document technical changes or modifications to any installed lighting system
• Provide product related support and guidance as needed
