Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to ensure that anything that moves on wheels is ready to hit the road. You will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in both field and shop settings.

Duties include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and replacing vehicle systems and components; servicing electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and charging systems; and supporting training exercises.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles associated trailers and material handling equipment systems
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems
