Job summary

Warren Transport Inc. is seeking a Light Tractor Technician to inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on Warren tractors using standard methods and criteria to ensure road safety.

The role covers brake systems, ABS, electrical components, welding, and related equipment. You will perform inspections on tractors and trailers, diagnose issues, replace parts, and ensure equipment is available for drivers.

Qualifications

• Two-year AAS degree in medium/heavy truck diesel or 3+ years related experience.
• Valid CDL preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and out-of-service parameters.
• Ability to read installation manuals and use diagnostic software.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CES inspections on equipment as needed.
• Repair light tractors, including brakes, tires, and filters.
• Address driver issues found during prelease inspections.
• Install/repair LYTX cameras and IVG systems.
• Inspect trailers per DOT/OSHA guidelines for safety and efficiency.
• Maintain safety equipment and wear PPE at all times.
• Document parts used and complete work orders for foreman.
