Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs and replacements on Walmart equipment following company guidelines for tractors, trailers, yard trucks, and service vehicles; create and process work orders; perform diagnostics with technical equipment.
• Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling to ensure safety compliance and proper paperwork.
• Identify warrantable repairs by recording condition, cause, and correction in the maintenance system; process warranty tags and claims.
