Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is seeking skilled technicians to repair and refurbish light rail vehicles within the Fleet Services Division in Dallas, TX. You will work on structural body repair, painting prep, and component replacement to ensure safety and reliability of LRVs.

Applicants must have an associate degree or equivalent in Structural Body Repair Technology and valid driving credentials. The role requires attention to safety and the ability to work independently on varied shifts.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Structural Body Repair Technology.
  • Must obtain and maintain regulatory certifications.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Valid Texas Driver's License Class C; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Repair LRV vehicles damaged in accidents using sheet metal and structural steel.
  • Fabricate structural posts, flooring, roof panels and body components.
  • Prepare vehicles for painting and apply DART specifications and finishes.
  • Operate paint application equipment and maintain related tools.
  • Inspect interiors/exteriors and perform polishing as required.
  • Follow safety policies and protect co-workers and customers.
