Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Full-time Industrial Services Light Manufacturing Fabricator in Winona, MN. You will cut chain, cable, threaded rod, perform light assembly, and prepare products for shipment, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will use calibrated tools, inspect components, and work with branches and vendors to ensure timely delivery. The role requires reliability, basic math, and a customer-service mindset in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam only).

Responsibilities

• Inspect overhead lifting chain slings, hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies, and custom wire cable assemblies.
• Cut chain, cable, and threaded rod.
• Use calibrated equipment to measure specific jobs (micrometer, caliper, tape measure).
• Use saws, chain cutters, and crimpers to complete jobs.
• Package light manufacturing jobs for shipment to branch locations.
• Follow ISO quality procedures.
• Communicate with Fastenal branches and vendors.
