Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• No prior fabrication experience required; willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety requirements.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic fabrication and part-preparation tasks, including drilling, grinding, deburring, sanding, cleaning, edge preparation, and assembly.
• Load and stage sheet metal, components, tools, and supplies using approved material-handling methods.
• Position, hold, align, and clamp parts to support fitting, welding, and assembly operations.
• Use basic hand tools and portable power tools after receiving instruction.
• Read a tape measure and follow drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect tools and report damaged items.
• Assist with protecting, packaging, and moving components.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety practices.
• Follow safety and security requirements; report discrepancies.
