SI Utility LLC seeks a dependable Welder Helper to support welding and fabrication operations. This role assists welders with material preparation, equipment, and general fabrication tasks while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, assisting with daily welding activities, preparing materials, and reading basic prints. The position requires teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn welding and fabrication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding, fabrication or industrial environments.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a physically demanding fabrication environment.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Assist welders with daily welding and fabrication tasks.
• Prepare, position and handle materials for welding.
• Use hand and power tools safely and as trained.
• Measure and inspect workpieces to meet specs.
• Read basic prints and work instructions.
• Assist with cutting or dismantling metal as trained.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Complete required safety training.
• Work from ladders or scaffolding as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
