Impact Diesel is seeking a Light-Duty Diesel Technician for the Tooele, UT area. The role offers a pay structure of $25–$40/hour plus a production bonus based on billed hours, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a focus on domestic diesel pickups.

You will work with a team to diagnose and repair, 25% diagnostics and 75% maintenance, supported by a Service Writer and General Manager. Tools used include Autel, IDS, and Snap-on; three bays and two lifts, and a training-first environment with in-shop

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technician experience.
• A-Level capability or strong B-Level experience.
• Intermediate-to-advanced diesel diagnostic skills.
• Strong experience with Domestic diesel vehicles.
• Experience with diesel repair including engines, transmissions, SCR, turbochargers, fuel injectors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair light-duty diesel pickup trucks.
• Perform drivability, electrical, and diesel diagnostic work.
• Diagnose and repair SCR system concerns.
• Diagnose fuel injector concerns and replace injectors.
• Perform turbocharger repairs.
• Complete engine and transmission replacements.
• Maintain a workload of ~25% diagnostics and 75% maintenance and repair.

Earning Potential: Additional production bonus based on billed hours

This Monday–Friday role focuses primarily on Domestic diesel pickups, with approximately 25% diagnostic work and 75% maintenance and repair. A Service Writer and General Manager support estimates, parts ordering, and workflow so technicians can stay focused on diesel diagnostics and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technician experience
• A-Level capability or strong B-Level experience appropriate for the work
• Intermediate-to-advanced diesel diagnostic skills
• Strong experience with Domestic diesel vehicles
• Experience with general diesel repair, drivability, electrical, SCR, turbocharger, fuel injector, engine, and transmission work
• Own personal tools
• Dealership light-duty diesel experience preferred
