Jennings Mechanical is a well-established mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC installations and services for commercial clients. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service to our clients in the Charleston, SC area.

We are seeking an experienced Light Commercial HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in installing light commercial HVAC systems and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. This role will focus on the installation, replacement, and start-up of HVAC systems for light commercial projects in the Charleston area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, replace, and start up light commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to ensure proper installation of systems.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and to customer specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and clients.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
• Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in light commercial HVAC installation.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, and components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (e.g., outdoors, rooftops, confined spaces).
• You may have held other positions previously such as sheet metal mechanic, HVAC service technician, sheet metal helper, etc
