Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Lift Truck Operator for a 12-hour rotating night shift at the Ringgold, GA facility. You will move materials from lines and storage to WIP areas, log locations next to product numbers, and complete daily lift truck checks.

The role requires basic reading/writing and math, color vision, and the ability to sit for long periods. Training will cover lift truck operation and safety protocols; a commitment to OSHA standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Color vision and depth perception tests required.
• Able to operate a lift truck after training.
• Able to sit for 12 hours and perform required safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from manufacturing lines or storage locations to WIP areas or other assigned areas.
• Record storage locations on the IPT next to appropriate product numbers.
• Complete lift truck check sheets daily.
• Dispose of shipping materials (pallets, straps, cardboard, bolsters).
• Strap and package finished goods and WIP as needed.
• Operate floor sweeper when needed.
• Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Change lift truck batteries as needed.
• Keep the facility clean and orderly.
• Perform duties of other LTOs when necessary.
• Operate baler in recycling of raw materials.
