Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. is hiring for winter seasonal Lift Operator positions within the Lift Experience team. You will monitor passenger safety during loading and unloading, and operate lifts to maintain optimal chair capacity while coordinating with maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

No experience is required as training is provided. The role requires outdoor work in all weather, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and weekend/holiday availability. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour.

• Ability to make quick decisions regarding safety and multitask.
• Ability to assist guests while loading lifts and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the safety of passengers while loading/unloading lifts; manage lift speed as needed.
• Operate lift to maximize chair capacity per guidelines and reports.
• Notify maintenance/dispatch of repairs or needs; learn with Lift Maintenance.
• Follow emergency procedures and coordinate with Patrol.
• Prepare lift area; set up/disassemble maze daily per standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and assist with related duties.
• Support ticket scanning as part of Lift Experience team duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
