Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Lift Operator at our Brandon, FL distribution center. This full-time, on-site role involves safely operating forklifts, loading/unloading furniture, and staging orders for shipment according to scanning and SOPs.

You will perform safety checks, assist with inventory organization, and help maintain accurate product location. Candidates must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the US, and able to lift 75 lbs regularly and 250 lbs with help.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform safety check of powered industrial vehicle prior to operation.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Use scanning equipment to locate product in Distribution Center and ensure accurate inventory.
• Pick orders and stage for shipment following the scan move scan.
• Manipulate products safely and effectively using the Standard Operational Procedure for proper lifting.
• Inform supervisor of needed backorders of product, scanning problems or product out of sequence.
• Inform supervisor of damaged and misplaced products.
• Perform a trailer audit prior to loading and inform supervisor of deficiencies.
• Follow all OSHA and Company established safety rules and procedures.
• Follow all standard operating procedures while working at assigned positions.

Purpose at Ashley :

The Lift Operator role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment, specifically lift trucks and forklifts, to move furniture and case good products within the warehouse premises. This role involves loading and unloading furniture items from trucks, transporting them to designated storage areas, and assisting with the organization of inventory.
