Job summary

49 North in Kentucky operates a family-friendly ski area and seeks a Lift Operator to join its Lift Operations team. You will load and unload guests, start-up and shut-down lifts, and report any unusual occurrences to keep guests safe.

Duties include inspecting lifts at shift start, cleaning chairs, helping riders on/off, maintaining ramps, and following the Lift Operations Guide. Certification in Lift Operator training is required; good guest relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification: Lift Operator training course completed and passed.
• Ability to relate positively to guests and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and inspect lift at beginning of shift.
• Clean and check chairs.
• Assist riders on/off chair lift.
• Maintain ramps and shovel snow.

Supervisor: Patrol Director

Department: Lift Operations

Position Summary: Loads/unloads guests from chair lifts. Performs tasks to start-up and shut-down of lifts. Reports any out of the ordinary occurrences.

Job Relationships:

• Responsible To: Guests, Lift Operation Supervisor, Lift Maintenance, Operations Director
• Employees Supervised: None
• Inter-Relationships: Work closely with Lift Operation Supervisor, Ski Patrol, and Maintenance to better serve our guests

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Start-up and inspect lift at beginning of shift before Any Loading
• Clean and check chairs
• Assist riders on/off chair lift
• Maintains ramps and shovel snow
• Additional duties maybe assigned
• Understand and follow the “Lift Operations Guide”

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Certification: Completion and passing of Lift Operator training course
• Experience: None
• Other Requirements: Ability to relate in a positive manner to guests and co-workers

Environmental Factors:

• Frequent lifting of items weighing 60 Lbs. or more
• Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and moving equipment
• Will be exposed to severe weather while performing duties
• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
