Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort in the designated lift area is seeking a friendly Winter Lift Operator to load and unload guests, maintain lift mazes, and ensure efficient and safe lift operations while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities include knowing lift controls, logging daily activities, assisting guests with loading, and adhering to company policies. Position requires outdoor work in all weather, 18+ years old, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper gear.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Understand and follow English instructions.
• Provide own snow boots, eyewear and gloves.

Responsibilities

• Know the controls and operation of each assigned lift.
• Load and unload skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.
• Provide loading/unloading directions to guests when needed.
• Complete daily lift logs and document lift incidents.
• Maintain ladders/ramps and ensure chairs are clear of snow.

The lift operator is responsible for the loading, and unloading of guests of all ages and abilities, maintaining the efficiency of lift mazes, adherence to lift operations guidelines, and providing an outstanding experience for our guests. Specific Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Have a basic understanding of resort operations
• Ability to properly complete appropriate paperwork
• Understand and comply with instructions given in English
• Complete Solitude Mountain Resort Lift Operator training
• Ability to spend long hours outside in all weather conditions
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to verbally give directions, answer questions, and communicate professionally with staff and guests
• Ability to use ramp and maze maintenance tools safely and efficiently
• Good decision-making and communication skills
• Commitment to excellent guest service
• Willing to work flexible work schedules that may include holidays and weekends
• Provide own snow boots, appropriate eyewear, and gloves
