Job summary

Mount Ski Gull in the mountains is seeking an lift operator to manage lift operations and assist guests. The role requires adhering to safety policies, maintaining clean work areas, and reporting incidents and equipment issues to management.

Training will be provided; weekend and holiday availability is expected. The position offers seasonal, part-time or full-time hours with outdoor work in varying conditions and the need to check tickets for every ride.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to commit to work a minimum of one shift per week.
• Ski and snowboard experience not required but helpful.
• Seasonal, part-time or full-time hours available.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Attend lift operations training and ongoing employee training.
• Maintain and document daily operation logs and procedures.
• Check tickets for guests using the lift.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all aspects of lift operation.
• Carry out and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain designated areas (shovel, rake, cones, signage).
• Assist and instruct guests when riding lifts and rope tows.
• Alert Ski Patrol to accidents and document them for management.
• Report equipment failures or concerns to supervision.
• Attend required training sessions and update logs daily.
• Record all procedures for daily operations and maintenance.
• Check each guest's ticket before use of the lift.
• Work outdoors in various elements and flexible scheduling.
• Be available on weekends and holidays.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Seasonal, Part-time OR full-time hours available.

Operate and monitor all aspects of lift operation.

Carry out and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Maintain designated areas which may include: shoveling, raking, setting up cones/lift maize or signage.

Assist and instruct Mount Ski Gull guests when they are riding the chair lift, rope tows, or magic carpets.

Alert Ski Patrol of any accidents that may occur. Document and report accidents to Management.

Report all equipment failures, complaints, or concerns to the Outdoor Supervisor and Management.

Attend a required lift operations training by Mount Ski Gull and employee training.

Carry out and document all procedures for completing the daily operations and maintenance timetable logs provided by management.

Check the ticket of each guest every time they use the lift

Required to work outside in a variety of elements.

Required to maintain flexibility in role and scheduling.

Available to work weekends and holidays.

All other duties as assigned.
