Explore Brainerd Lakes seeks lift operators to run and supervise ski lifts at Mount Ski Gull. The role involves safety, guest assistance, and outdoor work in a dynamic winter environment.

Candidates must be 18+ and able to work weekends/holidays, with a commitment to at least one shift per week. Ski or snowboard experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Ski & snowboard experience not required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor lift operations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain designated outdoor areas (shoveling, raking, cones/signage).
• Instruct guests on chair lifts, rope tows, and magic carpets.
• Report accidents to Ski Patrol and Management.
• Report equipment failures or concerns to Supervisors.
• Complete lift operations training and employee training.
• Document daily operations and maintenance logs.
• Check each guest's ticket before they ride.
• Work outside in various weather conditions.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility.
• Availability for weekends and holidays.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Seasonal, Part-time OR full-time hours available.

Operate and monitor all aspects of lift operation.

Carry out and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Maintain designated areas which may include: shoveling, raking, setting up cones/lift maize or signage.

Assist and instruct Mount Ski Gull guests when they are riding the chair lift, rope tows, or magic carpets.

Alert Ski Patrol of any accidents that may occur. Document and report accidents to Management.

Report all equipment failures, complaints, or concerns to the Outdoor Supervisor and Management.

Attend a required lift operations training by Mount Ski Gull and employee training.

Carry out and document all procedures for completing the daily operations and maintenance timetable logs provided by management.

Check the ticket of each guest every time they use the lift

Required to work outside in a variety of elements.

Required to maintain flexibility in role and scheduling.

Available to work weekends and holidays.

All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Experience include, but not limited to:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be willing to commit to work a minimum of one shift per week (preferably more).

Ski & snowboard experience not required but helpful.
