Job summary

Wintergreen Resort is seeking a Lift Operations attendant/lead for the busy winter season. You will oversee daily ski lift operations, assist with staff scheduling, and coordinate with Lift Maintenance to ensure safe, reliable service.

The role requires leadership, strong organization, and the ability to work outdoors in winter conditions. Ideal candidates are 18+, possess a Virginia driver's license, and can lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma OR GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Seasonal Full Time or Part Time positions; late Nov/early Dec start, end mid-Mar.
• Virginia driver’s license required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Outdoor work in winter conditions; evenings, weekends and holidays common.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of all ski lifts in a safe, professional manner.
• Assist with scheduling for lift and tubing operations staff.
• Coordinate with Lift Maintenance for proper equipment operation.
• Lead safety meetings and supervise lift/attendants as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of tools; ensure proper storage and usage.
• Perform routine cleaning of Lift Office and work areas; follow Wintergreen policies.
