Job summary

Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, LLC is hiring a Lift Operator to operate nine chair lifts safely and efficiently while delivering friendly service to guests. You will report to the Lift Supervisor and Lift Operations Manager, with shifts 8:00am-3:15pm or 3:15pm-close, seasonal from late November through early April.

The role emphasizes guest safety, correct loading procedures, and RFID gate access, requiring weekend and holiday availability, strong communication, and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a guest-first attitude.
• Punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work well with a variety of people.
• Must be able to deliver excellent customer service in all guest interactions.
• Non-tobacco use position in accordance with Company Policy No. 3.4.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with a friendly, professional approach.
• Check tickets and provide general resort information.
• Ensure safe guest loading and unloading procedures on all lifts.
• Direct guests into proper positions for boarding lifts.
• Verify safety straps are used and intervene if unsafe behavior is observed.
• Understand mechanical operations of lifts and communicate issues promptly.
• Maintain unloading ramps, ensuring proper snow depth and grooming.
• Manage lift corrals and perform related duties as directed by supervisors.
• Operate Yuma Tablets and Hand-Held scanners to manage RFID gate access.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of all ticket types and enforce Fraudulent Pass Procedures.
• Communicate effectively with Ticketing staff to support smooth operations.
• Accurately complete all required shift paperwork

Our Lift Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our nine chair lifts while delivering friendly, helpful service to every guest. This role is essential to both guest safety and the overall skiing and riding experience at Jiminy Peak.

Position Details** - Hourly position reporting to the Lift Supervisor and Lift Operations Manager - Monday-Friday: First shift: 8:00am - 3:15pm | Second shift: 3:15pm - close - Holiday period and Weekends: First shift: 7:30am - 3:15pm I Second shift: 3:15pm - close - Weekends and holidays required - Seasonal role typically runs from late November through early April (weather dependent)
